Transport Caching

Transport Caching is the name of a candidate design pattern authored by Raj Balasubramanian, Jim Webber, Thomas Erl and David Booth and published for review in the Candidate Patterns section at SOAPatterns.org

The requirements statement for Transport Caching is:

How can temporal and activity-specific state data be efficiently persisted?

This is a REST-inspired pattern that is still under development. It will be further formalized and finalized as part of the "SOA with REST" book that is currently in progress. (See www.soabooks.com for more information.)
