technology meta data (abstraction type)

The technology meta data abstraction type represents the technologies used to build a service, including programming languages, runtime platforms, repositories, infrastructure details, and technology details about any legacy systems the service may be responsible for encapsulating.

To prevent contract-to-implementation coupling it is generally desirable to limit the amount of technology meta data that is made available to others about any given service.

This is one of four abstraction meta types. The other three types are:

• Quality of Service Information

• Functional Information

• Programmatic Logic Information
