Standardized Service Contract

Standardized Service Contract is one of eight design principles that is part of the service-orientation design paradigm.

The official definition for this principle states the following:

"Services within the same service inventory are in compliance with the same contract design standards."

Common concepts and terms associated with the application of this principle include:

• functional service expression standardization

• data representation standardization

• data model standardization

• policy standardization

• "contract-first" development
