service composition candidate

During the course of the service-oriented analysis phase, service candidates and service capability candidates are composed together to see how they would form a potential composition in support of the business process logic from which they were initially derived.

These proposed compositions are qualified as service composition candidates so that they are clearly distinguished from actual implemented service compositions. The structure and configuration of service composition candidates is subject to much change as the functional context and granularity of service candidates and service capability candidates is regularly refined when iterating through the service modeling process for different business processes.
